The owner is very nice and the staff is extremely helpful but their Cash for Gold advertisement is a bit misleading. I took a gold necklace in on the 6th and as of the 15th, I have had to call and track down the check from the owner which cannot be cashed until the 18th. When I dropped off the necklace, I was told that the "scrap gold" would be Fed Exed to the refinery and a check sent out the same day and that it would be four days total before I received my payment. I was referred to the establishment by a friend who turned in a gold watch and received $185 cash the same visit. The necklace I turned in was worth $364 so when the proposal of waiting for a check was offerred, I thought it was due to the large amount. I waited exactly a week before I made the first phone call where I was told that "it was odd the Refiner hadn't called to say he mailed the check." The next day I called again and was told they had telephoned the Refiner and was waiting for the return call. I asked for the owwner, who was not in, to call me the next day. 24 hours pass and no phone call. I called today and when I spoke to the owner, he let me know that they received the check from the refinery (Saturday) but the check from them would not be good until Tuesday. I'm not sure if it is just a sign of the times, but the promise of "quick cash for scrap gold" has been very misleading as it has not been quick or easy but long and drawn out.
