After trying another local establishment which proved disappointing, we chanced this recommendation from a local and though we had a hard time finding it, we really enjoyed the food. The prices are reasonable and the menu is varied, though other mexican restaurants in other cities have more choices. The place is old looking, especially on the outside, but most good mexican restaurants seem to be this way. The food is authentic and pleasing. We've come back to this place and will continue to do so every time we're in town.
Went to this place on a recommendation with a group when visiting Yuma for the first time, and all eight of us came to the same conclusion. Terrible! The food was too greasy, too salty, and otherwise tasteless. The meats were too fatty, the chicken was bland, even the rice and beans were bad. When asked for hot sauce, the only option was a salsa that tasted like pasta sauce and a watery green mixture in a squirt bottle that tasted like dirty water. We were all starving and ended up eating the stuff because we didnt have the energy or time to go elsewhere, Now we know better. Cant believe this place is still in business being so bad. Its as if they were trying to see how bad the food was.
My recommendation is Don't Bother trying this place.
If you want real mexican food find a place called Mi Ranchito on 4th near the bridge. Its old, but clean, reasonably priced and the food is great.
