Dr. Joel Ang

This was the worst Dr.'s experience I've ever had. I went in merely to get a generic birth control prescription and ended up waiting for 1.5 hours in two different waiting rooms to finally see a nurse who systematically drew a blood sample and told me to wait again. Then Dr. Ang went over my blood results - which I did not want - and finally got around to the reason I came there - the prescription.

When I tried to go back another time I was sick, I noticed a sign on the counter saying a blood drawing was REQUIRED for each visit. What?! How is that possible that a doctor can require you to have your blood drawn for common, everyday visits. This is outrageous and my insurance was billed over $300 for the visit. Luckily, they paid most of it, but I have a suspicion that this Dr. is just trying to get insurance payments by requiring blood drawings for every visit. I'm never going back!

In response to Tom R -- he gave me a similar recommendation and I am a 25-year-old cross country runner with very little fat intake. I was shocked by his inaccurate assessment and the wait time, required blood sample, etc. I would advise anyone against going here.
