We had gotten the Hostess House's card from the Portland Bridal show in 09. When my mother and I when to there, the people were very nice and answered our questions promptly. The lady was new that was helping me pick out dress's along with fitting but she did her job like a professional. I found the dress that i loved, everything was great we even got a rose as a thank you for coming their. However after waiting almost 12 weeks for my dress, I called and asked if it was in yet. The lady lied to me on the phone and said it wasnt in and then called my mom the very next day and said " we have her dress," BUT, "it the worng one!" My dress is still on order, the came correct and ordered the supposed to be right dress. My self and my mother are having our worries about if they ordered the right dress or not. I would have given them 5 stars but after ordering the wrong dress I dont think i would really recommend them. The service was good, but they ordered the WRONG dress!!!
Im not writing about the alterations, but when my mother, grandmother (who came out from Nebraska) and I when to Davids Bridal, the staff seemed like we were the biggest inconvenience that had ever walked in their. I had made an appointment way ahead of time so not to make the mistake of just talking in, bc i read a review on here that said make sure you make an appointment! I had found a dress that i really liked allot but my mom wanted us to go look at other places just to be sure i found the right dress. The sales people made us feel very pressured and that if we didnt order this dress right now we wouldnt be able to order it in the following days. They were rude, seemd very rushed, short staffed and made us feel like we were just in their way. We went else where and found a dress that was the one. I wouldnt recommend Davids Bridal not if my life depended on it!
