I had gotten new lenses about a month ago for my frame and unfortunately, it gave away on its own last week.
I was given EZ-eye repair contact by my eye doctor so my wife took the frame to be fixed. They did decent job fixing the frame but significantly scratched the lens. It is pretty clear from the scratches that it happened from a tool that grabs the lens while being worked on the frame.
I called the owner Zach day after the frame was fixed and he was very arrogant and was not even willing to consider that the scratches may have happened at his shop. I tried to be explain to him the situation and he was very defensive about the whole thing and in fact told me that he has not heard such complaints in the last few months. This statement made it clear that they have had issues with scratching people's lenses. Anyway, I tried to come with with a solution that is fair for both sides since no one can prove exactly how the scratches occurred. Zach was not willing to do anything and kept defending his position. I tole him that if does not work with me then only solution I have is to go to the BBB. He said "go ahead and file the complaint, but this is the reason I am not part of the BBB".
I just want the future customers to know that be very careful taking your valuables to this company for any repairs as they may be damaged in other areas and the owner is just a jerk!! He gets very defensive. I don't think companies like these should be rewarded by any future business!
