Once was more than enough at Aio Coffee. If my appointment had not met me outside of this place, I would not have gone in. The decor is dark and forbidding, it was crowded inside, so we were forced to sit outside. The iced coffee I had was good, but not good enough to ever entice me to come back.
Pasqual Coffee Bar has simple good tasting food with nice flavors and quality coffee. I take many meetings in restaurants and coffee shops out of convenience and this one was actually on the better side than most. The person waiting on us was very friendly and made sure that we were attended to while we were there.
Coffeetime was surprisingly good. The person I was meeting for coffee made the suggestion and I now know why. Their beverage menu is extensive and I had a hard time choosing something. I was very much in awe of this little coffee shop and happy with my drink.
I wasn't sure what to think of the Quality Coffee Shop when I walked in. I was meeting a rep there and since they suggested this shop, I was fine with it. It was crowded, which i didn't mind, but while waiting for our order, the person I was meeting gave me some history on the place. It's a very famous location in the film world, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it. The food and coffee were okay. It may be fine for film, but I think once was enough for me.
The World Of Nuts & Coffee was a very convenient place to pick up a pound of Sumatra and French roast. The woman at the counter was very friendly and offered to grind my coffee before I had to asked. I also picked up some cashews and apricots, which were wonderful.
I enjoyed the coffee and pastry I had at the Park Central Coffee Shop. I took a meeting there and while it was crowded with the morning people getting ready for their day, it was still a convenient place to get a bite to eat and have a quick meeting.
After my daughter's friend took a lot of time to make sure we knew our way around LA and showed us the places and sights, we chipped in and sent her the Chocoholic Enabler cookie basket from the Cookie Casa Bakery. Carissa had been such a big help to us, we wanted to show her our apprecitation. I found them online and liked what I saw. I first ordered some of their cookies for myself then once I tasted them, I knew I had a gift solution available for the important people in my life.
I used Bakker's Cookies to bake some specialty cookies for my for the occasion of my daughter's launch party. I wanted something event specific and something that was original. They took my design ideas and made the most wonderful cookies in the shape of a tiara and made them taste as good as they looked.
Chef Marilyn's was introduced to us by my daughter's friend when she was showing us around. I had never had 'soul food' before and was shocked to discover I liked it. I had a turkey leg and shared it with both daughters, but the smells of the fried chicken and everything that was smothered in various sauces smelled delicious.
I met with An Original Occasion several times to work on the launch party for my daughter. The hours spent on this affair were extremely time consuming, but it was important so it didn't matter. Two weeks before the event, I received a phone call from the planner I was working with explaining the venue we booked fell through due to a double booking. Completely unacceptable in my mind. I was furious and had already spent hundreds of dollars on invitations and other materials that had the venue on it. When it became obvious they were not a professional company, I was forced to go elsewhere.
