I have been a loyal customer of Grinder's Seafood for a couple of years now. The staff is usually pleasant and makes you feel like they appreciate your business. However, today after spending $95 on crabs, I got home and started dividing the crabs amongst those who were going to feast on them when after seeing how light 5 of the dozen large males I purchased were and that I only received 11 of that dozen, I called the store to inform them and was told to bring the crabs back. I was very polite about the issues but the owner Daniel Grinder refunded my money and told me to start purchasing elsewhere because he do not like customers that complain. This was my first time complaining, eventhough a couple weeks ago, I purchased a dozen jumbo males and all of them were mushy, therefore it was a waste of $60, but I couldn't return those because by the time I ate them the store was closed for the evening and wasn't scheduled to open the following day.
They should not expect a customer to grin and bare it after spending our hard earned money. Why would someone not complain about receiving light crabs when the lights crabs are sold separate on the menu and not normally provided with large or jumbo crab orders?!
THIS IS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I have referred many customers there and have spent a lot of money there myself. That was rude to turn me away and inform me to not come back because of one minor complaint done politely!
