Many of my friends and my own husband work out at CrossFit USA. They tried for months to get me to leave my former gym(Cardio Express). I always said no because I though spending 40 minutes killing myself on a precor was the way to get fit. I watched my friends and husband lose a lot of weight, get insanely fit and still fought the idea of trying soemthing new and scary. Eventually the owner of gym called me one day and invited me down for a free workout. no strings attached,no pressure. if I like,I could join,If it wasn't for me I could leave without guilt. Reluctantly I went in for my training session. I found out that it was definitely hard, much harder than what I was previously wasting my time doing. Merle, the owner, was a nice guy, firm, demanding and a bit of a wise guy but fun. The next day I was sore in places I din't know existed and suddenly realized the mistakes I had been making. I listened to the coach's after that, ate what they asked me to eat, trained harder and smarter than ever before and found myself loving the results and excited to go the gym again instead or dreading the inevitable drudgery that was my former routine. I will never workout in a "normal gym" again. Thanks CrossFit USA!
