Orland Park, IL
I had my bike serviced at Orland Park Cyclery in the spring and had two tires and tubes replaced. I placed the bike in the garage and was unable to ride it until August. When I took the bike down from the garage the rear tire had a flat. I inflated it, and after two blocks on my first ride the tire was flat. I took the bike back to Orland Park Cyclery and was told that the tube liner was improperly inserted. When I told them that the tube was replaced at their store, they asked me if the bike had been ridden. I told them it had, and that is when I found out something was wrong with the rear tire. The owner then said, " Well if you rode it, then it is your fault." After paying I told them that I thought that they had poor customer service and that I would not be returning. The owner said " We've been in business for 30 years, if you think your lack of business is going to hurt us your wrong". I am a big believer in customer service and this type of attitude in dealing with customers is unacceptable. Obviously Orland Park Cyclery doesn't stand behind their own work. Shop at their at your own risk !!
I made an appointment for 8 am and when I got to the Service area I was made to wait 15 minutes to talk to a service writer. Upon talking to the service writer I was told that it would take up to an hour befor my oil to be changed. Needless to say I took my car and business somewhere else.
