Founded by Don Guadalupe Zarate in 1958, Tacos El Poblano began operating with the same quality and style but under a different name. They began operating as street carts that circulated in Tijuana. In 1968 the first permanent location, still under the old name, opened in the place known as "Las Humaderas" next to the Tijuana bullring. Then in 1974, two industrious brothers, Reynaldo and Sebastian Rodriguez opened the first permanent location with the name ??Tacos El Poblano?. In 1993, Tacos El Poblano moved to its current location where it has remained in business for 36 years. In September 2009 the first ??Tacos El Poblano? in the entire US opened its doors in the City of Chula Vista.
Jose Luis Rodriguez, the current owner of the Chula Vista branch, has been working hard at doing the franchise justice. It seems that there is no stopping the Rodriguez Family and their well-deserved success. Even on a Tuesday morning their place is about half full, one can only imagine the crowd on a Saturday night. The smell of fresh carne asada is what first grabs you as you approach the door, followed by a friendly greeting. Aside from carne asada and al pastor tacos, some of their other specialties include birria, tortas, burritos, tostadas and a few tasty deserts.

In this day and age, there are so few good music stores left. With the MP3 movement in full swing, it??s hard for record shops to stay open. But one very specialized shop has been able to shrug off those trends and has been able to have a successful business.
Access Music is a small but well stocked store specializing in hip-hop and rap music mostly from independent and underground artists and labels. One would think having such a specialized music shop would make it harder to stay open, but because of the more rare, obscure and independent music they carry, as well as it's vast underground accessibility, they've been a hit with folks who aren??t able to find what they want anywhere else. They also don??t just have rap and hip-hop, but also sell soul and electronic style music as well. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the style, and are happy to help new, curious customers get into it. They don??t buy used items though; they only retail new products.
Along with being a valuable source of hip-hop records, Access Music also holds frequent free in-store events like shows, Q & A's for the artists showcased, and signings. To truly understand how far this shop is willing to go for art, they have a consignment program for local hip-hop artists and rappers. If their record sells, they get a deal with the store to carry it. This is the only shop of its kind in Southern California; the next closest thing is up in San Francisco. Along with the store on Garnet, there is also an online store, (AccessHipHop.com) that ships worldwide. As far as music stores go, this is a shop where people will feel welcomed, not feel mistreated and have a staff that knows their stuff!

Bonita Dog Grooming is a family run business on Bonita rd. I was able to meet the mother and son while they were finishing up some of their furry clients. The Son, Fabian was telling me that they just came back from a big convention and are planning a remodel of their store. He told me some of their plans for the remodel, like having a doggy treat bakery, in the front; so you remember to treat you furry friend with something special when you come to pick them up.
Services offered at Bonita Dog Grooming are: a bath, with de-shedding shampoo, flea treatments, glands expressed, nail trimming, ears, cleaned, blow dry, and haircuts, teeth cleaning.
They also carry pet accessories, such as fashionable dog collars and the latest in leashes. There were a couple different brands of dog food there, for large and small dogs and one that was organic, to give your dog nothing but the best.
The staff at Bonita Dog Grooming is caring and will take care of your dog. While I was there, one of the dogs that was waiting for its owner and was becoming uneasy; the mother made sure to check that the dog was comfortable with food and water, and even tried to calm it a bit.
If I had a dog, I would bring it to Bonita Dog Grooming for great quality work on cleaning up ??man??s best friend?.

If you??re looking for something help you have a little faith in things unseen, stop by Catholic store de Guadalupe off of Bonita Rd. Here, you will find all things related to the Catholic faith, and some from the Christian faith.
My first reaction upon my arrival was WOW! There sure is a lot of stuff in here. But as I looked around I saw what all that stuff was; Statues of saints, prayer books (in English and Spanish), Jewelry and other accessories. I saw some things that were familiar to me, the Serenity prayer on a cross, The Lord??s Prayer on a blanket and a painting of the last supper.
If you??re planning on purchasing any of the items you see as a gift of inspiration, for a baptism, confirmation, or first communion, they even have gift bags, and balloons to complete the gift.
One thing I saw that really caught my eye was the rosaries they had in different birthstones, to make it more unique for you; all while being inexpensive. Another item I saw that has become more popular over the years for those of the catholic faith are bracelets with pictures of different saints on them.
Yes it may not be for everyone, but if it??s for you, you won??t regret going in to Catholic Store de Guadalupe.
