I went snorkeling at La Jolla Cove after I found a groupon. It only turned out to be $29, which was totally worth it.
My friend and I tried to schedule for a snorkeling tour on Saturday, but it didn't work out. Justin was really helpful--quick to respond to our questions.
You meet on the grass area near the restrooms. There are a bunch of people doing these snorkel/scuba tours, so you just have to ask around to find the right group. When everybody in our group got there, the snorkeling instructor, Kevin, explained right away that in order to go on the tour, you needed to be confident in the water. You could tell that Kevin was really enthusiastic and confident about his job. He was also really friendly and both of these things made me feel comfortable with him.
The snorkeling itself was SO AMAZING. We got to see sea lions up close!! You really have to go experience it yourself!
