I had a pretty good dinner at Hugh O'Neills, even as a vegetarian. I had a yummy greasy grilled cheese sandwich - what I was expecting. The beer selection was good.
This place is really good - I've been a couple times now and I've liked all the food and drinks. There are lots of vegetarian options, and they've got an extensive cocktail menu. They've even got live jazz on the weekends, and they can get busy so reservations are recommended for dinnertime. It's pretty quiet during lunchtime.
I've been here a few times, both for dine-in and for take-out. The food is always good - if you like spicy stuff, this is the restaurant for you. There aren't a ton of veggie options, but I've liked what they have (kung pao tofu, homestyle tofu, veggie fried rice). The hostess and waitstaff have always been very nice when I've been there, even when we've brought little kids who throw rice all over the place.
This place has the best cannoli in all of Boston, I swear. And it's not even in Boston. The key: they don't fill the cannoli til you order it, so it doesn't have a chance to get stale or soggy sitting in a display case. The coffee here is awesome too - nice and strong. The Italian cookies are delish too - I think I've liked everything I've tried here, and it's so much easier to park here than in the North End!
This place has been hit or miss - we've dined in once and gotten takeout a few times. The food is sometimes good, and sometimes mediocre. The service is usually nice, though when we dined in we got a new waiter who was pretty clueless. The prices are pretty high, especially considering the food wasn't that great.
This is a pretty standard takeout/delivery place in Malden, though I am especially fond of their snow pizza/calzone with the white sauce, feta cheese, and artichokes. Their regular red sauce is also pretty good and not as salty as some of the other pizza places around here.
This is a fairly standard takeout place in Medford. The food is good but not amazing - just solid greasy and cheesy pizza, subs, and pasta.
I've been here a few more times for pedicures and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the work. This is now my go-to place for mani/pedi - the price, convenience, quality, and welcome from the staff all combine for a great experience.
I am a big fan of Brandi at Riah - she has done a great job cutting and styling my hair for the past four years. Plus she's hilarious! They also use Bumble and Bumble products, which are wonderful for my hair, but they don't aggressively sell the products.
I have been to the Harvard Vanguard Medford Pediatrics office quite a bit over the last year with my daughter, and all the staff members have been great, Dr Schwaner in particular. She is very warm, caring, friendly, and knowledgeable.
