Visited this school to get information on esthetician program. Liked the tour, class schedule, friendly staff so much it seemed perfect. Filled out all of my enrollment papers, cringed a little bit at the course price. 22,000 for a 15 month part-time class. Yikes. Over the weekend filled out my FAFSA, got good news on that, took a hunk of the 22g's off. Something very strange while I was filling out enrollment papers, this guy told me to empty my phone contacts onto a piece of paper. ALL of them. He said he needed the numbers from my phone, I thought that was rude, creepy & just a plain waste of my time. Monday I get a phone call from admissions advisor, she says my high school transcript is no good & I need to get my GED. I am 30 & have NEVER been told this. I attended a college right after high school, have had multiple jobs, & was a sub for OKC public schools in which they requested a copy of my transcript & nothing has ever been said, until I went to Heritage. Why wasn't my high school accreditation ironed out BEFORE I was enrolled, got childcare worked out, loans & grant $$ taken care of, all that trouble just to be told for the first time I have not graduated high school. I would let this place of "education" be your LAST resort.
*UPDATE* spoke to OK board of cosmetology, this school REFUSES a select few home-school graduates. I was turned away from that place like I was garbage, & they led me to believe I have not graduated high school. Heritage thinks WAY to fondly of themselves to be so PICKY on who gets to attend there. Do NOT pick this school.
April 2011: Took Chrysler Town & Country in to see what it would take to get a/c running. After looking at it the estimate was $575 to replace front & rear blowers. Decided to go for it & let them have it for a day, when it was done went to pick it up & I spotted my van on the lot & went & started it, I was excited about finally having air conditioning. Sat in van for 10-15 min with front & back system running full blast. Air in back was so hot coming from vents it burned my hand. Air coming from the front wasn't even cold but not as hot as the back. I text my husband, he was at the desk paying for this. I told him this air is hot blowing from the van. An employee follows my husband out & tells me when you start driving the air will cool off. So we leave, husband had to leave for work & I am left to drive this thing around until it decides to cool off. Big surprise that never happened. I call them & the guy says " your air never cooled off for you after you drove it?" NO. Husband took van early this morning sat in waiting area for hours. They come to give my husband the NEW estimate & tell him the van needs an additional $300 vacuum part for the air to work. Why wasn't this vacuum part mentioned on the previous day? My husband says no thanks give me the keys I'm sorry I even came here. Then they say ok how about 99 bucks? Less than 30 minutes later he is back home van is fixed. I don't know much about the vacuum thing but it sounds strange it was fixed that fast. They did tell him your van had no freon in it but no leaks so we don't know where the freon went. Did we pay $99 for freon? & they were lying about the vacuum part? Who knows. Based on other reviews & what we experienced, do not trust them with your vehicle.
We have found our new dentist & very pleased with the treatment of patients. Highly recommend this dentist to everyone!
If you care about your teeth do not use her as a dentist. She recently got a brand new awning WITHOUT her name on it if that says anything.
I was told by her I needed a root canal on a tooth. On that same day she was doing 2 other fillings on the same side of my mouth, without saying anything to me, she proceeded to put a filling in the tooth she said I needed a root canal in. (husband was in Iraq at the time & I had amazing dental insurance) She hollowed out my tooth so much, it was just a thin shell of tooth on the sides. In the first week I took a bite of food & the side of my tooth chipped away. Went in, she shaved the jagged point off. From that week on I could not use that side of my mouth. It was VERY painful to even bite down on anything. Called a few weeks later told them of the pain, went in i was given a SEALANT. Months later... I had a tooth behind the one she filled that needed some work, I ASSUMED all the pain I was in was from that tooth. Because after visiting a dentist 3+ times you think no way its not that tooth, this person is telling me its OK. Made an appointment to get the tooth pulled, I wanted the pain to stop that bad I did not care if the tooth was gone. No questions asked the tooth was pulled. I feel now she knew darn well it was the one in front of it. Pain just got worse, was in so much pain I could not get out of bed. I have 3 kids to take care of & I can't be down like that. I ended up paying 1800 for a root canal on the tooth she decided was ok & needed a filling.
For some reason, my husband went to her ( he did not realize which dentist he had picked) she did an exam & said he needed a root canal on a specific tooth. He made the appointment with a specialist (because Cothran does not do root canals.) She had put down on his chart & in his records that the WRONG tooth needed the root canal. Thank God the specialist had the brain to double check before the procedure, or he would have had the wrong tooth done.
Prices too high for the quality offered. Cookies/goodies inside bakery case are dry, crumbly & taste 5 years old. Rude staff, highly suggest another bakery.
