OK, so here's the low down on these gents. The place is managed by Dave and Joe (Dave does most of the work but don't tell Joe!). I have always said that everyone needs a brother-in-law who was an auto mechanic, HVAC, electrician, and plumber so that they didn't get bamboozled.Well, these guys cover the auto mechanic area. Dave (and Joe) treat your car like it's their own and never push for unnecessary work. They tell you when somethings wrong/amiss AND take the time to show you exactly where and the part that has been replaced. I have shown them tires offered at a particular price online and they didn't hesitate to honestly acknowledge that they can't offer the same tires at that same price. But this admission is immediately followed by an offer to have those same tires delivered to their shop and they will be more than happy to mount and balance them for a very minimum fee. That is a great business person! They pass on the big profit from the tire sale and yet they still offer to do the nominally profitable job of mounting and balancing in order to service their client. Good sports in my book.
So are they busy.Yup, a lot of times they are. What does that tell you about their business model? I'm a regular customer and I've been told "Sure, just drop your car off. But it might be a day or two until we get to it." Is that bad service? No it's great service from honest gents. Bad service would be to have me drop my car off and then make excuses for a couple of days until they got to it.
So call ahead. Ask Dave (or Joe) when they will be able to service your car. And then pull in knowing that you will be treated fairly and honestly.
In fact, just like family!
