Stereo Masters was exactly what I wanted ?? a small, responsive shop, with knowledgeable, low-key sales people, and careful and skilled installers.
The father and son team that run this store ?? Henry and Ron ?? have been in the car audio business for more than 30 years (combined). They know what they are doing.
One of the things that most impressed me was how Ron took his time to discuss my options, in depth. When I told him the model I wanted to buy, he made sure that I had the technological skills to master the interface without frustration. He could have just sold it to me ?? it was an expensive unit ?? but instead he made sure it was right for me.
Their prices are more than competitive. They matched my best price AND used better speakers (Memphis Audio) than their competitors.
After the installation, they made sure that I understood how everything worked. They spent an extra hour with me before sending me on my way.
I could not have asked for a better experience.
This is an honest shop, run by a man with integrity, that does meticulous work.
We were in the process of buying a used RV, wanted it checked out and wanted a back up camera installed.
We found Inland Valley RV by reading Internet reviews of dealers in the LA and Valley area. We chose it because it had all high ratings and no low ones. The ratings proved to be true.
Pete, who owns the shop, is a square shooter. The charge by the hour ($99.00 in Nov 2010), not the project, and don't try to sell services or parts that are not needed.
They work on an "appointment" system -- took us when they said they would and got the work done when promised.
After the inspection, Pete took a lot of time to explain what they had checked and how to use the systems.
The shop is pristine, and so is the work. Mark, who installed the camera system (that I bought elsewhere with no pressure from them to buy from them) was knowledgeable and careful. His work is top notch.
At the end of the day, the work cost less than the estimate. How many times does that happen? They got it done when promised.
The system inspection cost $300 -- I think they spent more time doing it if you include the more than an hour of explaining things and answering my questions.
The camera installation cost $200 or 2 hours -- which is less than what I had been quoted on a project basis from other facilities (I had gotten estimates from $300-400.)
Some of the best customer service I've ever received from any vendor, anywhere.
