Reminds me of a place in Queens when I was growing up. Probably the best bagels in the area, and he's got some other products in there worth trying like boreks (a triangle pastry with different fillings such as spinach & mushroom) and deli sandwiches.
I think the first reviewer has this place mixed up with the buffet down the street. This is a sit down Chinese restaurant with a nice small bar and excellent food. A bit pricey but the people here are all extremely friendly, both staff and customers. It was a very pleasant dining experience, the only con to this place is their prices are a bit high.
The owner is extremely rude and condescending, I would never go to this place. It is important when you own a business to remember other people about town are potential customers.
The food was very good but the service was very very slow and unsatisfactory. Prices are reasonable. I would go again if I am in the mood for something different, they describe the main influence of their food as southeast Asian especially Laotian cuisine. I had a beef dish with a very tasty sauce. Portion of rice which accompanied was very small. The bar had a nice selection of wines, beers, and spirits. Improved service would earn them another star, we waited a long time for the food and the check.
Could very well be the best cheeseburger I ever had. Only $2 with all the toppings you like, including their awesome hot sauce. The employees behind the counter have always been friendly and wait time is reasonable. Chicken sandwiches, fish fries, onion rings, and hot dogs are also excellent. There is a real community atmosphere at Charlie's and it is always a pleasure to go there.
Nice little gym, adequate equipment, and good location. Members have better etiquette than some other gyms I have been to. Staff is friendly and helpful. They need to get that drink vending machine fixed though!
Nice selection for a store this size. Prices are average. The interior is a bit dark and dusty but overall a good shopping experience.
Great selection and great prices, this is the king of liquor stores in the Rochester area. The staff is a lot less annoying and obtrusive than the competitors at Century. I met the owner once and he seemed like a nice guy too. If you're going to buy a few bottles or something expensive this is the place to go because they have the best prices in town.
Nice selection and beautiful store. Annoying staff who won't leave you alone and prices are a bit high for a store this size. I prefer Marketview Liquor.
Update: Months later I returned and the staff seem to have dialed down their in-your face approach to the customers. A more pleasant shopping experience lately. Add a star to 4.
