For many years I lived with lower back pain and sciatica, had a spinal fusion in the late 80's that helped some but not completely. About five months ago, pain erupted in my neck and shoulders and was so severe that I was taking pain medication, spending my evenings with a heating pad and not getting any relief. A friend referred me to her chiropractor. After doing tests and x-rays, the doctor gave me the startling news that my situation was pretty serious and was going to result in my active lifestyle becoming greatly diminished. He advised that I would have to take treatments the rest of my life, beginning with three times a week. I informed him that I wasn't sure my budget would be able to accommodate the costs and he kindly referred me to his personal chiropractor, Dr Brenda, who consents to accepting Medicare payments. Dr Brenda concurred with the evaluation and although it has been a while, there has been marked improvement in the neck and shoulders. I now have treatments once a week, instead of three. The good doctor is hopeful of being able to get my lower back to respond as well. I consider her to be a sister in Christ; she is always very pleasant and most encouraging. The office staff also is courteous, friendly and does a good job of scheduling appointments so patients don't have to wait to be tended to.
