Corona Del Mar, CA
I wish I could give this place zero stars. Let me break down my experience from the start. This is a very charming animal hospital from the outside - has a very spanish feel, red tiles etc. When you walk through the door, you don't feel like you're in a sterile hospital, it feels very homey. There were, I think 5 girls working upfront, and not one of them stopped their "important" conversations to greet me. I was the ONLY person there and it took them at least 2 minutes to acknowledge me. Finally, an asian women asks, "Can I help you?" I respond with, "Yes, I have an appointment at 11:30 for my new puppy." She responds, "And what's your name?" she might as well have said "ya, so, what's you're effing name?" I gave her my name and she says, "You're appointment was at 11:00, not 11:30, you'll have to drop your pet off or you can wait until noon before the doctor can see you." I didn't want to agrue, but I am very maticulous with my scheduling and rarely ever make a mistake like that. So, I decided to wait until 12:00 to see the doctor. While I was waiting, all the girls start gabbing on and on and on about things that I, as a male, found very innappropriate. The ring leader, it seemed, was the asian woman. She would start conversations as if I wasn't sitting 6 feet away from them. Very irriating and very unprofessional. The asian woman was even saying rude things about one of the doctors that worked there. I felt like I was in an episode of Gossip Girl. Such drama. Granted, I've dealt with my work place dramas before, but never would I discuss these things right in front of clients.
When I finally got in to see the doctor, I felt very rushed. Maybe he needed to get to lunch or something. Anyway, after paying upwards of $300 I felt drained from all the excessive talking from the front staff. One of the most annoying experiences and I certainly won't be back. If I wanted that much gossip, I would have gotten a pedicure.
