New Paltz, NY
Wow. It??s obvious that Kerry R. didn??t get the position she was interviewing for at NPAH, and thankfully so! I wouldn??t want such a toxic being anywhere near anyone or anything I cared about! Unlike her, I AM actually a NPAH customer (does a customer know what the hell an isolation room is??!) and I am a loyal customer of Dr. Soscia??s since I found her in 2005. Prior to finding her, I was using Newburgh Animal Hospital and their satellite offices in Gardiner and New Paltz and spending exorbitant sums of money on my pets, not to mention the fact that whenever they would have an overnight stay at one of their facilities, my strictly-indoor pets would inadvertently come home infested with fleas. Unsatisfied and frustrated one day with my outrageous bill and no diagnosis, I scooped up my then 6 week old kitten that I had found in the street clinging to life 3 weeks prior, and took her to Dr. Soscia. Dr. Soscia unfortunately had to repeat the same tests only to my surprise, at a FRACTION of the cost (which left my jaw hanging) and diagnosed the kitten with congestive heart failure. She prepared me for the fact that the kitten was not going to live for very much longer. The kitten died in my arms 2 weeks later before I had even gotten in the car. Dr. Soscia and her staff were so helpful, compassionate and supportive within that 2 weeks and made such a difference in that little kitty??s quality of life.
One of my other pets is a cat that is a bright white, long-haired. After she would go to the bathroom, she would have bright red blood at the end of her stool that would mat in her beautiful fur. After performing blood work to make sure everything was normal inside, Dr. Soscia suggested giving her hairball treats. Hairball treats? Really?? Ok, I??ll try it. Damned if it didn??t do the trick! It??s been over a year and no blood!
NPAH is a great hospital and Dr. Soscia really knows her stuff! My pets and I are always treated with respect & courtesy and I am always spoken to like a real human being, not another doctor. Dr. Soscia shoots it to you straight. Moshe and Karen are fantastic assistants and are going to be great vets in their own right some day; Nicole, Candice, Kathy and Jen really make you feel wonderfully welcome and have a nice, happy, fun energy. There are vets that are closer in proximity, but Dr. Soscia is worth the trip!
As for Kerry R, you??re probably still unemployed with that attitude so maybe you should stick to blogging but how about covering a topic that REALLY matters and one that people REALLY care about, like the Middle East or the real reason for rising oil prices?
