We had previously shopped for formal wear at Thelma's when she had the bridal dept in the Merrill store and had great experiences, so when my daughter needed to shop for her wedding gown and attendents dresses and my dress we went 125 miles out of our way to go there again expecting the same. WRONG!! The sales clerk was anything but helpful. All of us needed a plus size but did she give us any samples to try that were larger than a 14? NO! I'm not talking about unrealistic sizes other stores we went to had dresses in stock that were much too large for these girls. The girls were discouraged and frustrated. The overall attitude was that if you are larger than a thin model you're too fat to bother with.
The dressing area we were given didn't even have a folding chair for us to use yet the other side of the store where the prom dresses were had a nice seating--couches, chairs, etc. with the mirrors,
