I regret ever purchasing a diamond from Silverberg Jewelry. Someone recommended them to me so on Feb. 4, I paid a down payment for a diamond and made arrangments for them to mount it in older ring and made the final purchase two weeks later. Today, nearly two months later, I still don't have what I paid for, I went from Jim to Barbara, the manager, and I feel like I jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Barbara has handled me in a less professional manner than Jim. She repeatedly has blown my valid complaints off! And to add insult to injury she said, "she was it and that I could not talk to her boss in person, or even speak to him via telephone. Nor did she offer me an address as to how I could correspond. Now what reputable company refuses to let you talk to the powers that be, especially when you don't possess the customer relation skills to resolve the issue? After all, as she so unprofessionally stated, "I hate to put it this way, but I only work here." We're not even talking about the mantra: the customer is always right, We're talking outright not getting what you paid for and the company not standing behind their work. We're talking about not getting the setting that you orgiginally agreed upon and when asked to fix it, you get a crooked stone with a note asking you to pay additional money for something you never signed up for. We're talking when you get your ring back initially and the height of prongs are half the height, you are given an excuse as to why it's not as agreed upon. The beauty of the original ring was gone! Need I say more? It's been a horrendous experiece and I plan to get the word to the owners. I can't imagine that he/she/they approve(s) of such poor customer service or they would not be the thriving business that Silvergberg has come to be these 25 years. After all, my mother recommended them. Needless to say, she's highly dissapointed and she won't be recommending anyone else to Silverberg Jewelery.
