I went to Dr.Johnson a few years ago to get a deep cleaning of both quads of my lower mouth.He sends me to his other office in Ocala to have a woman do it.She does both quads in one hour in the same day,unheard of & a lot of pain.Dental insurance companies don't pay much on periodontist work & they want each quad to be done on a seperate day.So I got back $60.00 instead of the $120.00 because they wanted to make a quick buck.I paid Johnson $650.00 for this woman's one hour work,she's not a periodontist,what did she get? $20.00 an hour if she is lucky.In this deep cleaning a tooth rose up a bit.My Dentist asked me to ask Johnson what he thinks should be done with it.I went to Johnson & asked him.Next week I get a bill for $40.00 from Johnson...Your dealing with a very cold & greedy person here.I think Darby & Johnson are still the only Periodontists in Citrus Co.There are many more in Marion & Hernando Counties.Try one of them I'm sure you will be better off..P.S.many dentists have girls working for them doing periodonal work,another idea for dentists to make a quick dollar,keep away from them,go to a real periodontist,it will cost you about the same price.

Periodontis,ha ha. A little over a year ago I went to a Dentist from Crystal River,Dr.Swanson,one of the things he wanted to do is pull a tooth,but Swanson is above that, he doesn't pull teeth anymore.He has a Dentist,J.Hammeroff come up from Spring Hill on wednesdays to pull teeth.The next wednesday I go to Swanson's office to get the simple extraction that he says it will be.Theres a few people there waiting for Hammeroff to do his thing,pulling...Next,its my turn,he has a female asst.with him.He pulls the tooth.At this point every starts getting nutty.He gives me 2 stiches,believe me stiches weren't needed.Now it's no longer a simple extraction,but surgical it's $220.00 no longer $180.00.remember Hammeroff has to kick back to Swanson.It don't end here,Hammeroff gave me sepuicane not novacane,most likely cheaper.Next day my upper mouth & fingers on my right hand became numb,a couple of days latter I had to go to my Doctor,he gave me a drug to counter the sepuicane (first time I've ever heard of a dentist using that).Also theres a piece of bone pressing against my gumb where he pulled the tooth.Swanson doesn't want to know anything about it ,he didn't pull the tooth & Hammeroff got paid & he's back in Spring Hill. Two clowns! I went to a Maxifacial Dentist to get that piece of bone out..I would advise you to keep away from these two characters,They both cost me a lot of money,pain & agavation.
