Food & Service are Satisfactory. I did, however, find it odd that we were charged for Ranch dipping sauce (50 cents for each little plastic cup) which I think is really petty. I hate when places nickel and dime you! I also think they should learn about how tipping is calculated. I generally leave 20% for good food/service, and 18% for anything less. I had calculated the tip then noticed, at the bottom of the check, pre-calculated tip figures based on 15, 18 and 20%. The figures were different from mine, so I looked at them more carefully. Their calculated tips were based on the total bill (including alcohol and tax). TIPPING IS BASED ON TOTAL FOOD BILL BEFORE TAX IS CALCULATED AND ADDED. ALCOHOL IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED IN THE BASE AMOUNT ON WHICH A TIP IS TO BE FIGURED. These two tactics (charging for ranch dip, and assuming customers are too stupid to figure out their own tip so it is okay to rip them off) really left a bad taste in my mouth. It will be a long time until I go back to Becks.
