I was scrambling to find a dinner spot for Valentine's day with my wife, and OpenTable showed this location to have available reservations for the time we desired. I looked at their menu online, and it appears to be mostly bar food, but I thought we could give it a try. Apparently, this establishment used to be called Millbrook Pub 399, of which we never visited before. After our meal, I was able to find that name onlne, much to my dismay, they were poorly rated. Now that they have a new name, I will have to agree with the previous reviewers of the Millbrook Pub 399 establishment.
Upon arriving, the front steps had some snow and ice on them. That is a big concern for a place that serves the public. The restaurant was nice, although I thought the brown paper tablecloths did not fit the new image this restaurant was trying to portray. Our food was slow to arrive, even though they weren't very busy. We had soup, an appetizer to start. The soup was sub-par, and we had to remind our waitress to bring the appetizer, which arrived a little cool. My wife ordered the cowboy steak, which sold for over $30. I asked the waitress if it had the bone-in, and she didn't know. This was an absolute disgrace. It was a very think cut of meat, for that price. Incredibly over-priced for what we received, and overcooked. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, which met my expectations.
Overall summary, the service was average, the food was average to sub-par, the environment was average (I still can't get over the brown paper tablecloths), the price was well suited for a place of higher caliber - not here. We will not be back. I do not recommend this establishment. Look up Millbrook Pub 399 for more reviews.
The Folks at Pearle Vision on Route 10 in Randolph NJ went the extra mile to help me out. I had a problem with my glasses, and they didn't hesitate to help me out. They are very professional, and always courteous. I feel like ??one of the family? when I go there. They're not pushy, trying to make a sale, like other vision care businesses I have been to. I think the place is privately owned, and I always desire to frequent local businesses to help my community. I will definitely be back, with my entire family. Top notch!
My wife and I were out for a belated Valentine's Day dinner, and we came upon Nicole's Ten Restaurant & Lounge. We did not have a reservation, but we were early enough that it seemed to not be a problem. Everyone was very pleasant and the atmosphere was excellent. The server was top notch. The cocktails were in the $9 - $10 range, which is what we expected, and nice and strong. The food was well balanced, but ever so slightly bland. I ordered something on the spicy side, but I didn't find the spice to be spread throughout the dish, but concentrated in one bite, or another. The restaurant started to get busier as we were finishing our meal, and I felt the server was a bit rushed toward us...but still very polite and professional. I gave 4/5 stars for the slightly rushed service toward the end, and the ??ever so slightly? unbalanced spicing of the entree. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I were driving past, and decided to stop in for lunch.
For a Saturday at lunch time, it wasn't very busy. We received the typically stoney welcome from the pretty hostess, and were seated in the lounge area. By the way, the air conditioning works extra well there (even when it is already cold enough).
The service was average to poor. The server seemed to be gone a lot, but he didn't appear to have more than one other table. Perhaps he was working the other side of the restaurant too. The things we asked for, he didn't remember the first time. So, perhaps he was preoccupied.
They messed up our order slightly, nothing serious. The food took an unusual amount of time to come out, and my wife's was burnt slightly on top. I ordered the Quesadilla Extravaganza for $13.79 There was nothing extravaganza about it. It was small, and hardly had any meat. There were no sides, and the sour cream and guacamole both looked pretty sad on the small bed of wilted shredded lettuce.
My wife's chimichangas were burnt on top and SUPER dry inside. She ordered beef, and got chicken.
Summary: weak service, overpriced food, poor presentation, we won't ever go back.
Dr. Richard Walker spent a great amount of time with me today. He was very patient and listened closely to me about my eye problems and medical history. This was my first visit to his office, and I am very impressed with him, the staff and the facilities. Very professional and courteous. I have been to several ophthalmologists since 2006, and he is the most attentive that I have ever gone to. We have recently moved into the area, and I will definitely have Dr. Walker as my regular ophthalmologist. Top notch!
This was our first visit to Heritage Grill. Considering the cost, I did not think the food/experience was overly spectacular. Portion sizes and food quality were good, but nothing better than any good New Jersey diner would offer at a lower price. The facility was attractive and relatively clean (the plastic plants needed to be dusted), and my chair was not level with the floor. The service was acceptable, but nothing special. The restaurant wasn??t busy, and there was not wait. If we had to wait for seating, I think it might have been rather anti-climactic.
My wife got a flat tire in Northvale, not far from their station, and I looked up their business on the internet. They had good ratings, so I felt they would be reasonable to come and put a spare tire on for her. I just spoke with her, and they charged her $50 to put on the spare tire. $50 for a five minute job...shame on me for not asking up front how much they charge. Shame on them for taking advantage of a woman stranded on the side of the road.
We bought a rental RV from 84RV rental. They were very accommodating and professional at every step. They worked closely with us, even after the sale, answering every question that we have. Great folks.
