I got my hair permed by a very new stylist even though she led me to believe she had been doing hair for quite some time. She offered a coupon for 50% off and I couldn't pass that up. She assured me she had been doing this since she was 12 and a Master would be there if I had any concerns while she was perming my hair. I have extremely long hair. My hair was very healthy with the exeption of the ends being a bit dry, however I was getting them trimmed little by little. Anyhow, I realized from the beginning she was inexperienced, but I decided to let her try and see how it went. The manager comes over and tells her to roll my hair in one roller, not piggy back or even spiral rods. I'm wondering in my head how this will work since my hair is to my waist and I have alot of hair. I am trusting this manager knows what he is talking about, although the whole time I had my doubts and was very sceptical this perm would even turn out. 51/2 hours later because my hair was rolled in slow motion it seemed, I'm done. I leave and go home. Hair dries, I have no curl, just a few waves, frizzy, dried ugly hair. Oh and I'm getting married the next day! I get some second opinions on the one rod thing...Everyone I talked to said "what?????" No one does that with my length hair! Tomorrow I will be going in and asking for a refund. 85$ plus tax!
