This review is for Chas Roberts in general, not a particular location. I built a new home, now 1 1/2 yrs old. We've already had a few problems with both AC units, which tells me Chas does a lousy installation job and/or uses poor quality product. Unfornately, their customer service is even worse. It took 4 days to get Chas out to look at our issue. Our builder agreed to pay for the labor for the latest issue and parts are covered by warranty. The tech did a 5 minute fix (broken capacitor), and insists we pay $93 (builder discounted labor) on the spot, even though they should collect from the builder who told Chas they'd pay for the repair. I asked the tech to bill the builder directly since that's who's paying, then the tech went silent and started putting the bad part back on. The tech also refused to call his supervisor or give me the phone # to let me call. So I called the main Chas Roberts number to clarify the billing mix-up and got transferred around to the operator about 6 times, never getting to speak to anyone who cares. The builder will pay us back, but Chas shouldn't have turned it into a hassle. I've talked to enough Chas personnel to see this is a typical customer experience, rather than just getting 1 bad tech. I'll be switching to a more competent competitor for future AC work.
Luckily our builder, Shea Homes, is outstanding to work with.
