Ha! They were actually recommended by a neighbor, since we were new in town. Brought my elderly sick cat in. Vet #1 talked so fast and much, I couldn't get a word in.You would think as a new patient, he might want to have listened more about his "new" patient. Blood work done. Guaranteed a phone call with results on Monday. Monday came and went...I was SOOOOOOOOOO anxious with concern for my cat. Finally, late Tuesday a.m. I called, quite unhappy. 10 minutes later vet calls...talking fast AGAIN, full of excuses why he hadn't called the day prior. He was getting ready to go on vacation. Needed to take cat in end of week for fluids. Blood tests showed end stage renal failure. Shame on him for not calling promptly with that info. Vet #2 checks my cat in on Friday. I need to leave her for the day, she is VERY unhappy, and scared. As he spoke of the seriousness of her condition, I choked up and was trying to fight back the tears, but it was hard. The box of tissues was a few inches from HIM...Do you think in kindness, he passed me one, or the box? NO! He finished "yapping" and left with my cat. I cried, got my OWN tissue and left. Picked my cat up in the evening. Vet #3 Told me I would have to give subcutaneous fluids twice a day...every day. Gave me a quickie course and said "Good Luck" on her way out. $175.00 in a week and a half and not one drop of compassion, or follow up phone call. Sadly, later that same week we had to put our beloved cat down. She suffered a couple of seizures and lingered for 8hrs before we brought her to a DIFFERENT Vet. The compassion showed to us at that "extremely difficult" time will NEVER be forgotten. Ralston is not a place I would refer my enemy too! It was a horrible experience from the moment I walked in. Compassion = 0. Go to VCA Animal Medical Center. They are the ones that euthanized our faithful friend of 16yrs. Treating her, and us with "kid gloves." I promised my cat I would write a review against Ralston if only to save one more pet and their loving owner the terrible experience we had. Ice runs through their veins. Please go elsewhere with your furry "friends", if you truly care for them, as I had.
