Since discovering this establishment about a month ago, my wife and I have had several positive encounters with Ron, the proprietor, and his staff. Ron offered some initial discounts and seemed eager to get our business. We subsequently purchased several hundred dollars' worth of bird seed and were pleased with the prices and service we received. Today, however, was another story. We had the misfortune of encountering an older female employee who at first agreed to give us an 11 percent discount on our $90 purchase. When it came time to pay, however, this employee stated "I spoke with Ron and he said you can only have a 5 percent discount." My wife and I were taken aback by this failure to honor the terms of our transaction but decided to make the purchase anyway. Then, to make things worse, the employee began behaving rudely towards my wife, scowling at her and placing the change and receipt for the purchase on the counter instead of handing it to her. The employee's conduct was so toxic that we decided we wanted a refund. The employee dutifully gave us back our money then left the room, at which point Ron, who had heretofore been very pleasant and accommodating, appeared. As I politely attempted to describe how his employee had acted, Ron suddenly exclaimed "You can go elsewhere to get your feed from now on!" My wife and I intend to do just that and if you would like to avoid an extremely unsettling encounter with this unstable, nasty bunch, you will do the same. This place really is "for the birds."
This business should be investigated for fraud and gross negligence. For every thing they fix, they seem to break two more. Stay away at all costs (unless you enjoy getting ripped off).
