San Francisco, CA
I've been taking my car here for 7 years and I'll never take it anywhere else. Ali and his staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and they do great work at great prices. I work second shift, so the after-hours drop off has been really convenient. I never worry that I'm being taken advantage of or being overcharged as everything is always carefully explained to me and because Safari Automotive stands by their work.
I have had dogs my entire life and this is the best vet practice I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Every staff member, from the receptionists to the techs, is kind and knowledgeable. I feel like Dr. Soares and the rest of her staff treat my dogs just as they would treat their own dogs. Their office is large, beautiful, and well-kept and they have an onsite lab which means you get test results back immediately. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of service that you get. After my dog's recent surgery, they called to see how she was doing. They even have an online service that allows you to print veterinary records and make appointments.
My dogs used to hate going to the vet and they would start panting and trembling as soon as they smelled where they were. Neither of my dogs mind going to this office and I believe it is because of the caring way they have been handled and treated by the staff here. Macungie Animal Hospital has seen us through everything from an ulcerated cornea and a splenic tumor to routine check-ups, and I am grateful to have my dogs in their care. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of a veterinarian.
Here's a brief rundown on the reasons I no longer patronize this vet: 1) Would have to wait an average of 60-90 minutes after scheduled appointment time. Yes, I know emergencies take priority, but this happened every single visit. 2) They have the surliest, nastiest, most disorganized staff I've ever encountered in customer service. They may love animals, but they sure do hate people. 3) Instead of removing the potentially cancerous lump on one end of my dog, they removed the harmless fatty lipoma from the other end of my dog. They didn't charge to correct their problem and Dr. B seemed embarrassed and was very apologetic, but their staff treated me and my husband like we were $hit on their shoes and that it was somehow our fault that they operated on the wrong lump.
This place was decent many years ago, but it seems like now all they care about is money. They are pricey for the type and quality of services they offer, and the staff act like they're doing you a favor by taking your money. If you like your pet even a little bit then please, by all means, avoid this place like the plague.
