Purple Cafe - Seattle
Wowie, wowie! The food, the wine, the service...yes, yes, yes! I was brought here by a friend when I was feeling a bit down and let me tell you, this place cheered me right up. We had an adorable server who had excellent suggestions of wine and checked on us really frequently. The food...oh, the glorious food. I can't even finish this review because I'm getting hungry thinking about it.
Just go!
Truly Great United Kingdom
I found this little gem of a salon studio on Craigslist and am addicted to hair extensions now! I called around a few places and they all wanted $600, $800, $1200 for fusions. I got frustrated and did a Google search for cheap fusion hair extensions and there they were.
The good: They're totally reasonably priced. They're fast. The girl who did them was a rock star. The hair quality is even better than I dreamed. I've been wearing the same head I paid $300 for for almost 2 months now and I think I have at least another 6-8 weeks of wear left on them.
The not so good: The salon studio is located in a huge Costco corporate complex and was a little difficult to find. I thought my Tom Tom was lying to me when it said I arrived at my location. Otherwise, it's all good!
I'm a happy girl with LONG, happy hair!
Hotel 1000
This is 5 star at its finest. I have to admit, it wasn't me who stayed here, but on behalf of my parents I can say it was superb. We were all given a glass of champagne at check-in...and I wasn't even a guest! The room was clean, modern and quiet. The room service...get the pancakes for breakfast. Wow. Just...wow.
Massage Envy - Bellevue
I've been a Massage Envy member for about 5 months and am on the verge on cancelling my membership based on the massively high turnover of the therapists there and the inability of my Bellevue location to handle its client volume.
The massages are good and the pricing is very, very reasonable. Unfortunately, the last 2 times I've been in I've had 40-45 minute massages instead of the 50 minute massages I paid for because the therapists are behind. If I pay for 50 minutes, give me 50 minutes.
Also, the turnover at this place is at lightening speed. I find a good therapist and within a month or two they're gone. And they must be short on therapists because it seems like whenever I call they have nothing open.
I started out happy with Massage Envy, but I think the honeymoon is over.
