I don't typically write negative reviews about anyone, but this case Omar merits one. i can sum it up in one word...BUTCHERED! My hair was midway down my back.. all i wanted was some shorter more textured layers. Seems pretty simple for most pros . What i got was a mushroom cap. Its as if he gave me two different haircuts, one in back and one in front, The problem is on the crown, i suppose he calls it texturing, however there's a huge chunk of hair cut right out of the crown, not even in a place you can hide. So basically i have 2 layers, almost like a bowl cut on top, long on the bottom with a big piece missing in the crown. The biggest problem for me is he had to know this during my blowout, as I sure did the next day when i went to blow it our myself. As he was blowing he said to me "oh it falls like a natural bump in the back". Well i did not ask for a bump, hence he knew he screwed up and said nothing, just tried to cover it up. Then just took my money. I know that people make mistakes, but when i called and went in for him to address it he kept saying , "oh i know what WE did" WE? really? no apology, just kept saying it does not look bad. But it is bad! Really bad, probably the WORST cut have EVER had! I also had to add ...someone who reviewed him stated "I would strongly recommend Omar to anyone that is looking for a NY quality stylist in the Raleigh area!", Well i am from NY and there is NOTHING NY quality about the way he does hair. Where were you getting your hair done ,,,on the A train?, even then it would probably still be better than what i got!
I scheduled an appointment at this office for an extraction of a tooth that had been broken and keep developing an abscess. i have had the misfortune of being laid off from my job and was without dental benefits. I accquired benefits through my part time job so that i can go to the dentist. They were fine with seeing me at first, but after calling for my benefits they called with my "responsibility" or cost. Since i was out of work i explained that i did not have all of the money but i would be at work the following week and would appreciate a payment plan if possible. they did offer one...one that i could not afford and did not even try to azrrage any other option. i told them I could not pay that amount and could pay and amount wich was a litte less (30 dollars less)n and my appointment was cancelled. I worte an email explaining my situation and having worked in billing in many medical practices I know fisrt hanfd that exceptions could be made. Here is the email i sent......
I am not sure If it was you who just called me about my benefits.
After we spoke yesterday I was relieved to know that i was going to
have this tooth extracted as it imposes a health risk as it feels like
its going to abscess. I did indicate that curently I am out of work,
but have insurance form my part time position and asked for a payment
arrangment, to my dismay thay were only able to provide me with an
arrangement that I am unable to meet at this time. i only have 40
dollars currently and was hoping to be able to make monthly payments
for the extraction until I get back on my feet.At this point i had to
cancel my appointment, which was really hard to schedule to begin.
with. My embarrassment and fear and lack of being able to set up an
agreement with any provider has kept me from having this tooth
removed. I am fearing that it is going to impose some serious health
risks for me and was hoping Dr Agrawal would have enough compassion
to see me. I do understand that its difficult to take a person on
their word however i really need help. Can you please just ask the
doctor himself if he would see me under a lesser payment plan. I am
not sure that the urgency of this extraction is understood. Thank you
Here is the response
I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. I sounds like you
have a lot going on from a dental perspective. If finances won't allow fora small thing, what will happen when it is time to take care of everything?I believe that it would be a good idea that you find a facility that that can work with you financially to help you move toward a long term goalwithout putting you in a financial bind. I have a link below that may helpyou start to find an organization that can assist you. Good luck Nadine and
bless you as you move forward.
I could not believe she had the gall to be so condescending, as if i dont deserve treatment because I an going though a financial setback at the moment...
i will take my business elsewhere and yes Melinda, with both dental plans I will be fine financially...Who are you to judge. there are many people out there in financial upheaval...your comment was out of line...I hope the dr sees this as I am sure you never consulted with him.
