All of these reviews with Dr. Craddock are out of date, and seem to have come from very angry individuals. I previously took my animals (My dog and 2 rats) to Animal House in Clemson, and received poor service there. When one of my rats got sick the vet at Animal House gave some medication that did nothing for the rat and knew nothing about small animal medicine.
When I took my rats to Dr. Craddock and his staff they were able to tell me immediately what was wrong with my rats and they were able to help. He did everything he could to save one of my rat babies, but we did lose her. However, that was not his fault it was nature taking its course.
With my other rat he and his staff, which includes many individuals that own small animals, knew exactly what was wrong, and what needed to be done to save my baby. I had to have a tumor removed from my rat and he worked with me on the payment for the procedure. My rat made a full recovery and one of the staff members even took care of her for the few days following the surgery because I did not know what to do.
I took my rat in again today because I suspected that she may have another tumor (which it is not uncommon for rats to have multiple tumors over the course of their life-her first one was six months ago) and she did in fact have a tumor and he scheduled the procedure for tomorrow-the very next day. He again is willing to work with me on the payment for the procedure.
He understands how much my animals mean to me; he knows how much everyone that walks into his office cares about their pets and he will stop at nothing to ensure that they receive the best possible care.
I would recommend Dr. Craddock to anyone and everyone! ESPECIALLY those of you who own small or exotic animals, because he is one of the only veterinarians in the upstate that are certified, recognized and rewarded for his small animal procedure knowledge and abilities.
He is the best vet I have ever encountered!
