Just as Patricia and Robert below had stated, we have unfortunately had the same experience as they did. We purposely went to Chris early this year with our repeated business because we understand his busy season. We gave our $1000 deposit in Feb.2012. We never heard a thing until we contacted him in April requesting our custom awning. It was like pulling teeth to get a response and got every excuse from the truck being broken, to the death of a seamstress as to why our awning was not ready. We tried to be patient, gave him a grace period after each excuse and then had to threaten to take steps to get our deposit back before we actually saw our awning on Memorial Day weekend. We paid the rest of the payment even though the job was not complete (missing two panels) and was told they would return in a day to complete. NEVER SHOWED or answered email/text/phone. After the awning was installed, you can see the VERY POOR quality, crooked seems, gaps in seems, mistakes that were made and left marks in the fabric. It already needs repair and it has only been up for one month. I understand this is/was a family business as we remembered Chris's father well and recommended him MANY times to family and friends. We really wanted to give him our business because of the quality and customer service we had in the past and I only write this review so that others will not have the same experience as we did. I only hope that Chris comes to understand that his customers are just as hard working as he is (awnings are not a necessity, but a luxury), it took us much overtime pay to save the money for this canopy, And I pray that he can get this business up and running in a positive way someday for the good of his employees, family and all of the hard work that his father and grandfather put in to build the business into the sucess it once was.
