I have never written a review before, however, I was so appalled at what happened today that I felt I should. This is primarily to help the salon in the future to be more customer oriented. I had my hair foiled 3 weeks ago. I also brought my daughter in to have her hair done. The girls that did our hair were nice and seemed knowledgable. During my visit, I decided to go with a full foil (more money but more thorough job). While the girl was doing my hair, I questioned why she set the foils so far from my scalp. I knew this would create an unflattering look. I was going fairly light blonde on my dark blonde natural color. If she is too far from my scalp, you will see outgrowth immediately. I understand the foils need to be a little bit away to avoid chemical burns or bleeding of color, but this was substantially far away and not common. At the end of service I knew I wouldn't like my hair but after sitting there for a couple of hours I didn't have the patience to sit any longer. I thought, I'll just go home and deal with it. Well, each week I was getting irritated while doing my hair in AM. It looked horrible but I felt bad calling the salon to complain. So, I just dealt with it. Then I took a mirror to see what the back underneath looked like. I saw a softball size spot in the back of my head with literally zero foils! A big dark spot. The girl completely flaked on the back of my head. Even though I paid for a full foil. So, now I decide to call the salon. The girl that answered said " I am so sorry about this... We definately want to make sure you are happy. Things happen like this all the time. Don't feel bad coming back in". Then I think she said she works in Oak Brook and she was filling in at Naperville so she would have Nape Manager call me back to discuss. Well, the Napeerville Manager called back. He proceeded to listen to what I had to say the... Tell me his hands are tied and there is nothing he can do regarding my color! He said its been 4 weeks ( it has been 24 days) Here is where I need to respectfully educate the Naperville Manager. Sir, with all do respect, I really hope the owner of this salon doesn't get a hold of this review. Are you familiar with customer retention at all? A happy customer tells one friend... An unhappy customer tells ten friends? Customer is always right? Any of this ring a bell? Here is the deal. I'm born and raised in Naperville. I enjoy the finer things in life. I know a lot of women and we all like to take care of ourselves. The good thing is, we all have a decent amount of money and enjoy pampering ourselves! I wasn't looking for a freebie. I was looking to have my hair fixed. Now, I have to go call another salon... Talk about my bad experience with Customer Service that I had at Charles Ifergan Naperville, warn my friends and co-workers that Charles Ifergan has a negligent Manager that really doesn't care if a customer is satisfied or not and so on. I can't believe that this guy didn't want to make it right. It is so shocking to me that I had to post. Maybe you will like your hair. I sure hope so, because if not, too bad! In today's economic landscape, with all of the competitive salons to choose from, I really am surprised at this managers lack of judgement. I think Mr Ifergan would be doing himself a favor if he gave his manager a tune up. He lacks interpersonal/managerial skill. I'm not mentioning the girls name that did my hair because I feel as though maybe she had an "off day". I mean no disrespect to her. Mistakes are made. We know this. It's how they are dealt with that is important. Best of luck in Naperville!
