I don't understand the hype it is just another sandwich store and it is not really that good it is OK but nothing special. I had a sandwich with my wife when it first opened the spices they use didn't really agree with me ended up feeling sick later on, too many hot pepper spices and sauces.
I was with a friend and was in the mood for a burger, what I saw came as no surprise to me health dept shut the place down this morning. I came at around 11am to pick up an order to go for me and my friend and saw the three white signs posted on the door. I wasn't surprised due to the fact that they never kept the place clean on quite a few occasions spotted grease and oil and pieces of a burger on the floor behind the counter when I use to go there sometimes. I noticed one of the cooks sneezing often the only reason why I came here even though it was rare was because my friend was a big fan of five guys but now even he started to see the light to after giving them the benefit of the doubt on many occasions neither one of us is coming back even if they fix the many violations they had which caused them to close down.
This is an OK place if you happen to be near the area nothing worth commuting for, they serve small portions of food for ridiculous costs.
It takes a while for the order to go through. Burgers were average not that great might not be back and sometimes it gets noisy with those little ones.
I love coming here for my afternoon burger, but most of the time call for delivery it is fast and reliable and when there is a delay the cashier calls me and lets me know which is something I appreciate communication and good food. Victor for the am shift when we use to come at around 8am always does a superb job serving our table. We call for delivery 4 nights a week and will continue to do so.
My wife and I gave Empire a few visits within a few months it is an OK
bagel cafe nothing too special. The food was average and very pricy.
Most people think that just because this diner is open past midnight that they are so cool wrong they are not. I came with my wife at around 3am to have some food and drink after coming out of a bar. The server smelled and was sneezing all over the place. The guy who cooked behind the grill was coughing like crazy. My burger tasted disgusting and my fries were really soggy. Server forgot my coffee three times what do I hear oh am very tired tonight well nobody told you to work the night shift. The prices were a rip off it was cheaper then this a few years back it seems like they tripled everything in the menu. This is not the diner to be at 3am it is happy madness alright staff with lots of health issues with there noses and the sneezing.
This is the best framing store in the heights. Mousin always gets everything well done. He throws art shows here and there. The store is more like a gallery he is always doing alterations to modernize which is cool. He has a very cool personality. There is also a waiting room in the front with a table and a couple of chairs. I will be back here.
Armando's became really expensive through time and it is not like they did any changes with the food it still the same. Service is hit or miss depending on whose there on certain nights. My wife and I tried to have some seafood but didn't pan out very well. There are other Italian restaurants in the area try them out avoid this place.
Gandhi palace is the most grotesque and most vast expensive restaurant on Montague st. I had a dinner with my wife that cost us $40.00 dollars for the two of us. The food hasn't really changed it still the same for the prices they have been charging, what we mean by that is we remember when Amin was there last year until the store was renovated and had the name changed. I half to be honest nothing has changed it is the same people serving the same junk food and still keeping the res dirty. I was trying to enjoy my chicken until I felt grossed out by a few rats running by our table. I went to the bath room and noticed 4 cockroaches on the floor. I don't know how they stay open must have a cheap rent or otherwise they would have been closed down already. The service was at times slow and inattentive. The waiter would forget our stuff three different times. Am sorry it is not worth the time and trouble to walk up those steps to a nightmare of filth. My wife even saw a few roaches on the stairway outside the door.
This is my favorite pizzeria in park slope the slices are super good have two of them on a good day with a lemonade or a punch. I love the staff very friendly and great atmosphere hope they stick around for a very long time. I even love the squares they have get those once in a while depending on my mood will be back again and again.
