I am 57 years old and had been dealing with knee pain for many years. I put off going to see the doctor because I was always so busy I couldn't find the time. When I realized how out of shape I was getting from babying my knee and how many activities I was missing out on due to me knee pain I finally decided to make an appointment with Dr Rezin. He came highly recommended by several of my friends and my personal doctor. What impressed me first was how down to earth he was and then how I could tell right away that he was an expert at what he does. He answered all my questions and did a thorough exam. They had X-ray and MRI right on site and within 24 hours I had the results. It was worse than I thought, bone on bone. No wonder it hurt so much all the time. Within a couple weeks I was scheduled for surgery. I was really worried about the whole process. Major surgery, being put out, the results afterward, being off my feet for a long time, missing work, finding someone to help me at home. I was just plain scared. Thankfully they have you sit in on an hour long presentation to show you what to expect and help you get everything set up prior to the surgery so that afterward it goes as smoothly as possible. I immediately felt so much better and went into surgery knowing everything was going to be OK. I had my surgery at 8am and was up walking in the hospital using a walker by 7pm that night. After three weeks I was walking without any assistance. Now two months later I am back to work and walking two miles at at time with no problems. I can actually say that Dr Rezin and His nurse helped me get my life back. I am back to gardening and have even been dancing again. I always wanted to take up golf and now I plan to take some lessons and see how I do.
I saw Dr Sauer at the Joliet clinic. They also have a clinic in Bolingbrook but Joliet was closer to my work. He was very thorough and listened to me. He answered all of my questions and I could tell he actually cared. He did not rush to do surgery at all. That is what I was afraid of before going to see him. I thought if you went to see a surgeon they jumped to do surgery. I was wrong. He tried therapy and anti inflammatory medicines for nearly three months which helped but I still had pain that woke me up at night when I slept on it wrong. I still had pain raking leaves and even wiping down my counter tops at home. When I struggled to life my grandson, that was the last straw. Dr Sauer and I decided the only way for me to get back to normal was to have the surgery to repair my rotator cuff and remove the two bone spurs. He also found quite a bit of arthritis. I had 6 weeks of physical therapy and was given a home exercise program. I am now able to do everything I used to be able to do and am sleeping like a baby. I could not ask for better care or a better outcome. I really would recommend anyone with orthopedic problems to consider Dr Sauer.
