I am an unhappy patient from CT. Dr. Gold performed my laser surgery over 7 years ago and the only benefit I've seen is less prescription in my glasses/contacts. I have amblyopia and strbismus. Laser surgery did not correct the problem. Dr. Gold should have first corrected the two problems before just performing the surgery. I was under the impression that I would not need to wear glasses until my 40's but I've been wearing them since the surgery. In addition, I see halos and spots, and my night time driving is horrible. (I am much younger than 40). I really like Dr. Gold as a person, as a doctor. He was very patient, knowledgeable, answered all my questions and returned all my calls. But I feel that he mistreated my eye conditions. I would not recommend this surgery, but maybe I just wasn't a good candidate for the procedure. Most of my work involves the computer so that may be a contributing factor. I am very unhappy with the results and I regret that I went through with it.
