Don't make the same mistake I did! Don't hire attorney Wong.
She charged a fortune, she lied about my status, she changed my application after I signed it. She withheld part of my file after I requested a complete copy. She supposedly "lost" hundreds of pages of email correspondences regarding my case. Go and find another attorney!
Simon T please file a grievance with the Ohio Supreme Court. http://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/Boards/BOC/default.aspx
I did, but I was told they need more examples of wrongdoing, and your case is very similar to mine. I hope you have proof of the legal advice you got because attorney Wong will "loose" all communication (email etc) which would prove what advice was given, especially about the immigration fraud. If it comes down to your word and her word, disciplinary counsel unfortunately will believe attorney Wong. Also other immigrants need to hear the truth about attorney Wong before they waste their money or end up in deportation. Even former employees of the Wong firm characterized the firm as a green card sweatshop. (Check glassdoor.com).
$6,800 is a lot of money. Maybe you have the right to get it back. You should call: 216-928-1500 and see if what attorney Wong did to you qualifies as legal malpractice. Be aware there's a one year statute of limitation to file a legal malpractice claim in OH.
