Clark James H DVM: James H Clark, DVM
First impressions can be VERY deceiving. I scheduled a pre-purchase exam with Dr. Clark in 2010 based on a lackluster recommendation by my regular veterinarian, as there are few equine vets in the Coachella Valley. At first, he was personable, knowledgeable, and prompt. I eventually purchased the mare he examined and discovered that any time I had a legitimate health concern about my mare or wanted to schedule an appointment, Dr. Clark would routinely pick up the phone personally on the initial call, promise to get back to me, and then nothing. I was subjected to countless unreturned phone calls, false promises regarding scheduling, and no-shows. When my mare suffered severe colic and I had to call another vet, he had the audacity to explain to me that there is such a thing as courtesy after I endured 2 years of his discourteous and unprofessional conduct. If he doesnt do ranch calls or take new clients, he should be forthcoming about it. Ultimately, his experience and medical expertise are irrelevant because his word means nothing!
