I recently moved to Tacoma from Boise. I have few contacts and was worried about looking for a job. I had been looking for a job for a few months with little luck. I received an e-mail from Ed stating they would help in my search for a new job and career. I was skeptical because I had never worked with a recruiter. I phoned Ed at West Coast Careers and he was a great resource. We made an appointment and he sat down with me, asked many questions about the type of career I wanted for myself and sent me home to work on my resume. Within a week or two I was interviewing with two companies for sales roles. He coached me on the little things that I may overlook in an interview- whether it is a phone interview or an in-person interview. The key element that I want to communicate is that Ed was a coach in the process of getting the job. He connected me with companies that I may have otherwise not been able to reach. He essentially helped to polish my interview skills and ensure that I put my best foot forward. I still had to do all of the hard work to prepare for the interviews, but it was so nice to have someone to bounce ideas off and ask questions. Ultimately I was offered a position with the company I was most interested and am on my 3rd week. This is a company that I have an opportunity to build a real career, develop my skills and feel great about going to work each day.
Many thanks to Ed and his staff for all the help. I have already referred three friends to West Coast Careers and would recommend that anyone looking for a sales job definitely look to this company as a resource in your job hunt.
