Poor business management skills. The Ortiz family has been is business for many years, correct. This is why I selected the contractor to go with. On our first meeting the founder's son (Pete) and I made an appointment. He was late to this meeting. We arrived and he greeted us but failed to introduce himself. Hmmm, okay. We decided to go forward and made an appointment for our yard assessment
On the morning of the assessment, he was over 30 minutes late. I advised him of how this had impacted my schedule of cutting short my son's graduation ceremony to meet with him. When I informed him of this he got emotional with me and told me he would not be coming by and was stepping out of "the deal" because I was upset. I asked him to let's continue moving forward, but his mind was made up. Oh well, he's not the only pool builder around.
My advice is be very careful. If you are okay with the contractor dictating all of the shots , move forward with them. i was not pleased with his disregard for my and my family's time , even though we were the customers. When I brought it to his attention he decided to back out. All I can say is pool builders are a unique type and be very careful when making a large investment. I'll take my cash money somewhere else.
