.

I had an appointment at 12:00. I arrived about 10 minutes early. The receptionist was very friendly, although I was not called back until 12:25 without any explanation. The MA immediately looked at my chart to see I was referred by my nurse practitioner. She then said "I wish those people would stop referring patients to us, we have enough patients that keep us busy that we don't need the refferals and business from these nurses". Although I went in for a back problem, the dr. was not helpful to me at all. He informed me in a (nice) sarcastic way that my back was not bad enough to be treated for at this time. He told me that I was not as young as I was 20 years ago, and I should not do the things I did 20 years ago. He then told me he could send me to the pain management dr. but he might want to put a needle in my back ( of which he put his fingers out to show me and said about 6 or 7 inches long) I said no thank you and I left (with a book about how to take care of your back). OVERVIEW If you don't want referals from other drs. you should be telling the drs. not the patients that come there. And if the MA'S are so over worked this should be adressed to the office manager or the drs. there. Where do you think you are getting your business and money from?
