Star Bene
Star Bene is very authentic, but it changed ownership and used to be a little bit better. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is pretty good, but I think there are now some better choices in Capitola for Italian

Santa Cruz Skate Shop is where I go to get all my Santa Cruz stuff. They have great selection of Santa Cruz t-shirts and sweatshirts, with the old school label and some newer designs as well. Great place for souvenirs or for home town threads for those of us who have had to relocate :)
Super fun
Boardwalk Bowl is a great night out! This place is family friendly during the day and adults only at night. The bowling prices are reasonable, and they have entertainment on occasion and karaoke on a regular basis! Worth a trip down to the beach flats area!
Rosie's is a great Irish bar
Rosie's is a pretty good place. The food is decent for bar food and they have great beer choices. There are some more 'happening' places downtown, but this is a good place to go to start off a night out.
Cute Shop
Ferrari Florist has great staff, cute gifts, awesome selection of ornaments at Christmas, and beautiful flowers (of course!). I would highly recommend using Ferrari for all your floral needs.

Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting is a great place to go for coffee. They have pretty good drinks and snacks, occasionally have local music, and is a fantastic place to people watch downtown! Support local coffee houses and give this place a try!
Tam's Restaurant is cheap and tasty
This place has super cheap Chinese food, especially for lunch. The food is good, and the place is clean. Great for satisfying a craving on an active SC day.
Wander here
This is a really fun place to browse, and exclaim, and plan to buy later. They have good gift ideas--things you wouldn't necessarily buy yourself, but you would want to have. Chefworks has a TON of great kitchen/home stuff. It's the fancy, serious stuff, so I don't always buy, but I want to be the kind of person who needs and uses that stuff. It is a good place to buy gifts, because they have a great variety of tools, decorations, and hardcore cookware.

This shop does not have as much selection as some antique stores, but I feel confident that the items are quality. Nice that it is locally owned and operated, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
