Whenever I'm in Kauai, I come to this store. They have beautiful beach themed merchandise. On my recent trip I purchased a beautiful bracelet and have purchased several more like it by phone. Kalena, Jan, Myrna have been wonderful. They are very patient while I try to decide over the phone what...
So we read a couple of guide books. One written by locals said that the only way to see the Napali coast was to sail from the North Shore. The deal is that the Port Allen cruises spend more time going along the beach not the Na Pali. There was some big legal deal so only a few companies can go...
What can I say, I called Rodney for a tow "broke down" he was nice and fast, he not only towed my truck but told me what was broken and had it fixed the next day! I'll be sure to call him whenever I need a reliable mechanic/ tow-truck. Very organic and sustainable experience!
We've eaten at Bubba's twice. The burgers were tasty. The atmosphere is fun, with many bumper stickers and celebrity photos on the wall. On our first visit, the line was very long, but on our last visit, the line was short.
awesome spot, most happening bar on the north shore. Live local music mostly reggae. kind of a local style dive bar. Got to check it out.
great lunch spot, soup salad and wraps that are healthy and cheap, really cheap by Kauai standards.
best fish and chips ever. Made with local fresh caught fish. Perfect after a kalalau hike along with a couple carona's.
If you're heading to Haena area for the beach or a hike, don't count on picking up lunch at Red Hot Mama's. It may be open during the posted hours, or it may not. If it's not open there's not much else so you'll be pretty much out of luck for food options. When we tried pick up lunch there on ...
The pizza is good they have alot of toppings and it is nice to see the whole family working I think that they just changed owners so give them a break
Had a terrific breakfast here the first morning we were in Princeville / Hanalei area. Ran into a friend who now lives there that I was planning to surprise later in the week. It's true, locals and tourists alike seem to love this spot! Great service.
Ate here for lunch. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Oh, not to forget the drink. Service was fine. It was pretty busy in there during the lunch hour.
but it sure is convenient when you are staying in Hanalei. Part of the charm of the North Shore of Kauai is that you really are "away from it all" Of course that doesn't mean you don't need a quick store run and Wainiha is "the place" to grab stuff if you don't want to leave paradise.
We ended up browsing at this little store every time we had breakfast at Ching Young Village- It has great T-shirts and gifts- Hawaiian shirts, kimonos- toys I totally recommend a stop there.
I would give Polynesia Cafe 5 stars if the service wasn't sooo slow. Sometimes we got a bit impatient waiting but the food is good and hey- it's an island- life is slower there. There are 3 or 4 different breakfast choices in Hanalei and this ended up being our favorite.
We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but we bought fresh ahi here (for a fraction of the price they charge in San Diego) and it was some of the best fish I've ever had. Everything looked great in this tiny fish market.
I love the North Shore of Hawaii and this is one of my favorite spots to eat- creative, healthy food in a charming setting in an old plantation house. Wonderful fresh fish- mellow atmosphere. Highly recommended for those lucky enough to visit here.
