I purchased a VW Passat this spring, and it had a nice oil leak and a torn CV boot. Per my dad, the Ford/Chevy mechanic, I took the forty-five minute drive north and saw these people. The oil leak and CV boot repair was about $600-650, thanks much for charging me to clean the brakes, there's on... Read More
This is basically a bar, but they serve food that is relatively inexpensive. They have a fried chicken special and a Friday fish fry. It's about as casual as you can get, definitely "come as you are".
This is an attractive little Northwoods bar, and a good place for a burger. However, they "welcome bikers" so I don't feel too welcome. It is a comfortable place for bikers and women with mustaches. Don't mess with the women that play in the horseshoe league there.
Trout lake is a nice course but a little farther out of Minocqua then I thought. Cut out of the Northwoods it is about what you would expect from a course there. They have a new driving range which is one of the best I've seen. They also have a large clubhouse porch area where you can watch the ... Read More
This bakery is unique in the Northwoods. You will be taken aback by the prices, but try a pastry and you will realize it is well worth it. These are real French pastries, etc., better than any bakery you will find in this whole country. You have to stop in just to look at these unique selection... Read More
This is a really great "supper club" restaurant that has a great variety on the menu. Every entree that I have had there has been good. There is prime rib every night for beef lovers, and other specials every night. The Chicken Oscar is really good. If they have a lobster special, it is delicious... Read More
This is a nice restaurant with great Italian and American food. It has great soups and tasty salads, too. The food is fresh and flavorful, prices are moderate. It is a newer, log building with a very comfortable Northwoods atmosphere. The whole place, including the bar is nonsmoking so all th... Read More
This is a nice theater and even new , popular movies are rarely sold out. This theater is small and not owned by a huge corporation so prices are a bit lower. Lines move quickly and are never too long. You probably will have to park on the street and walk a block or too on a busy evening.
This is like a farmers' market but part of it is under a roof. They have good fresh farm produce, and homemade jams and preserves. They have beautiful flowering hanging baskets and other floral decor outside. Prices are about what you would pay in a supermarket, but the produce is fresher.
This is a family business, and a great place to go for your hot tub or gazebo needs. Doreen, one of the owners, is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the business and is eager to help you, even if you didn't buy your product from her. They will spend the time needed with you to answer all ... Read More
