I like Best Buy because they have pretty much anything I ever need in terms of electronics, movies, or computer software, not to mention a nice selection of home appliances. This particular store is always clean and has a big, wide-open feel, which is refreshing on weekends when there are more shoppers around. I just wish they wouldn't push their extended warranties so hard. That's annoying.

This site is definitely one of the better and nicer Best Buys that I have ever been to. The neighboring area is really nice and fits in very well. The store was very clean and appeared brand new but it obviously isn't. The parking area was very large as well allowing more customers to shop.

Geek Squad prices are competitive with other stores and mom and pop shops. Mom and pop shops don't offer three month warranties on their work, and typically charge by the hour. Most items do not have more than a 10-20% markup from the manufacturer's price. Some items are even BELOW the cost of what the store pays for the items when they're on sale... plus you don't have to ever deal with any mail in rebates. All mail in rebates are taken off immediately in the store, so they just advertise the price post-rebate since that's what you end up paying, which is great compared to Fry's which has a mail in rebate on almost everything. Just compare prices online with other stores and you will see the markup really isn't much more than what other stores sell for (other than cables, which is kind of lame). The only items that are shipped out to repair by the Geek Squad are those that require parts that are not available in store (motherboards, laptop CD drives) AND are covered by a manufacturer's warranty or a service plan. A majority of the work done is in software repairs -- virus and spyware removal, slow computers, loss of network connectivity, etc, and they can diagnose and repair/replace hardware if it's something they sell at the store. The previous poster is obviously just advertising for his own company. It's sad when someone has to actually lie about their competitors just to get people to walk into their front door or even see the shack their "company" is operating in. I'm a long time Best Buy customer, since 1995 or so when the store in The Woodlands opened, and I've almost always had an excellent experience there (can't say that much for the Conroe store). Angry people tend to have the loudest voices, but I'm one of the satisfied ones that likes to spread the word.

I used to hate these guys because of the lack of customer service and hardcore push of extended warranties. But lately, they've improved pretty dramatically. They're much friendlier, willing to help more often, and you don't really see too many of their associates standing around twidling their thumbs anymore. Nice job.

I was looking for a cell phone and ther service at this Best Buy was really good. The assocaite was friendly and knowledgeable. He told me about the features and asked what type of things I was going to use it for and then told me about the other brands and how they stacked up. I was shown a map of the area and then by my secluded home. He wasn't unfriendly when I told him that I was going to think about it and do some more research. He told me that if I had any other questions to come back and he would be more than happy to help me as much as he could. He also told me that if I went online that the phones were cheaper, but that they would match the price if I brought in a printout of it...I'll remember that tip.

i am very disaappointed with bestbuy.com. i purchased a t.v. on bestbuy.com for a store pick-up. i expected it to be an easier way to shop.i couldn't be more wrong. when i arrived at the store i had to wait in line for approx. 15 min. after i told the cashier i was there for in store pick-up i had to wait an additional 15 min.for my products to be brought up to the entrance. when we arrived at home my husband discovered that there was a defect. we called the 800# and told them of the problem. they told us to return the t.v. to the store we picked it up from(deptford) and they would exchange it for the same product. we called the deptford store to tell them and they said no problem bring it back. my husband proceeded to pack up the t.v and drive back to deptford in the snow. when he arrived at the store they changed their story. they said because we purchased it on line with in store pick up we would have to wait 48hrs. before we could exchange the t.v. i would advise everyone to not use bestbuy.com with in store pick-up.

You maybe able to get a reasonable deal on appliances over at best buy, but do keep in mind that the if there anything wrong with the appliance when it is delivered, you are basically stuck with it unless you want to buy a new one or deal with a 20% restocking fee. Then their 5-year warranty service means that they will come buy and fix things in the next few weeks as someone is available and meanwhile you are stuck with a broken appliance. I would recommend you consider ordering from Sears instead.

I woud say to watch their sales, but you always know you are going to be treated well here. Even if they aren't knowledgeable, they come up and ask if they can help. That is impressive.
