I have been a member for several years. The customerservice is great, as well as they are always willing to help you with your goals. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a stable facility to workout at that you are not wondering if it will go out of business next month.

For staff, I have had the same experience as previous reviewers. They can be very pushy if you let them. I pretty much went in with the attitude that I was trying out different gyms, and I have been. I mentioned Hampshire HIll in Milford which I ended up getting a day pass from them. The guy I talked to, Matt, was a lot more pushier the second time when I decided to try the place out and sat down with him to sigh up. It was the last day of New Year promotion of $100 off the $199 (for the $19.99/month) program. I did get him to let me try the gym out for 3 weeks before final decision of joining... He wrote on the top of the application as such. He also had waived the $300 some sort of joining fee as well. Perhaps, because of the mentioning of HH. I don't know. But I was clear to him that I was not going to do sign up if I don't feel I would be able to use the gym regularly and I needed the try out period as I got from other gyms. On the surface, they do have good class schedule, especially if you are looking for both high intense aerobic, muscle toning classes. I was impressed with the number of yoga related classes they have. I do question the qualification of some of the instructors though. For yoga classes, I would not recommend attending any of the classes if you are a beginner and want to learn the basic movement and language of yoga practice. The classes here can discourage you and worse you won't learn the correct pasture of the practice. Spend a little bit more money and do more research on a local qualified yoga studio for that kind of basic learning. It took me 3 years (on-off) and 5 different yoga places before settling down at the one I have been at for 2 years now. For Nashua area, I would highly recommend checking out yoga classes by contacting Health Match at Southern NH Medical center... look in phone book for phone number. Both the Wed. night (male and female) and the Monday night female only class are excellent. These classes are more forgiving and you will learn all the basic both yoga posts and terminology. They do combine the western more intense stretching and eastern yoga style which I like. I am one of those who do not care for those yoga practices that have candles and with instructors who are more interested in showing off their yoga terminologies than making sure their students are doing the right things on the mats. The yoga classes at this (and Milford location) Gold's gyms are more for those who already know the basic and the yoga language. They are intense and can be very good for those who just want to supplement for more expensive yoga classes and have a place to practice regularly with others. This place also have very good state of the art equipments so far as I can see (I have only tried the equipment out once or twice). Another bonus for this place is a female only corner enclosed gym. Don't expect to get any instruction from staffs unless you are willing to pay more. They will try to talk you into having a private trainer and such which cost a lot more. If you just want to use equipments and attend classes in which you already know the "how", you are in a good place. The place is still new and appears to be keeping up with the cleanliness... though I have not used their shower. For the $340/year ($99 + (12 *19.99)), it does serve its purpose for me, for now any way.

Do yourself a favor and don't do business with Golds here or anywhere. There billing system is done by a separate company that tends to mess up billing more than not. The gym is falling apart every day whether it is the paint cracking off the ceiling or the machines that seem to work every other month. Finally, if you decide to end your contract, chances are you won't be able to get out. I even tried to pay the remaining balance to end my contract early and they won't do that. It's not like I wasn't going to pay the remaining contract, but they still won't do it? Makes absolutely no sense except they come out ahead no matter what. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Very friendly staff and updated equipment. They update their equipment twice a year. You are treated as an individual, not a number. There are people here of all ages...young and older. The trainers are excellent....and unlike some other places, you don't have to pay extra for every little thing they have. You do have to pay extra for a personal trainer...but you are evaluated free of charge...and they help you without having to pay them. The classes are AWESOME...and they have excellent teachers or leaders. I cannot say enough about the customer service. Also, it is clean. Cleanliness is extremely important to me...and I have found them to be very clean. I would highly recommend them. Oh, and they offer discounts to AARP members...and their families. Great place to work out for those who have worked out and for those who have never worked out before.

Pros: Plenty of equipment for any level of workouts, normally not crowded during off-peak hours, gym members cover the entire spectrum so high comfort level for anybody from muscleheads to first-timers. Lots of classes offered. Price very reasonable. I joined before it officially opened a few years ago and only pay $26 a month (just raised from $21). Not sure of current rates. Cons: During peak hours (5-7 pm, for example) not enough of the basic machines, some wait time--typical of any well-attended gym, however. Agree with other reviews on the staff. Don't expect much help on workout programs, advice, etc. beyond an initial orientation (if you can get that). It's much like the customer service at the discount stores. Class instructors work hard, but rest of staff is either focused on selling memberships, or standing up front in a group socializing. A prefunctory hello and goodbye is about all you can expect. Overall, has everything you need to get in shape and the atmosphere is comfortable and not intimidating for the beginner or "casual' exerciser. Men's locker room is fine, equipment can get a bit sweaty but hell, it's a gym!

When we first came to Las Vegas we were quite impressed with Golds Gym. Coming from Boston and both being NPC ranked amateurs Golds was the place to be. I regret to say since the LV franchise was sold to the team from Palm Springs it has sadly fallen behind. LVAC has stepped up their game and their equipment is cleaner and more relevant. LVAC has a pool and far better customer service. Golds has just not stayed in step. I really dislike passing negative reviews but before you sign a contract that is almost impossible to get out please check out LVAC or 24 Hour fitness.

Gold's gym expects every one of their members to memorize and recall every line in a contract you sign a year after you've signed it. Don't be taken like I was. They will continue to bill you after you've completed your year long contract, regardless.

Erin Russell w/ Therinaputics, next to Golds Gym, has proven excellent - I am a walking & bending example. Four yrs post surgery & Erin was the only person who had focus work on seeing I succeed in forward movement. The muscle whisper.... I've NEVER given 5 stars to anyone or business.....

Just finished a vacation and used this club 3 times($10 guest fees). I belong to 24 Hour in Vegas. This is by far the best workout gym I have ever worked out in. The staff was extremely friendly, very clean and maintained and they have more variety than I have ever seen(I've been in over a 100). Wish this place was where I live.
