I'll agree with the other review, KFC has nothing on Popeyes. After living in New Orleans for a while I grew accostomed to having a popeyes at every corner. When I moved back home I definately missed the homestyle cooking boasted by popeyes. The chicken is great and the amazing food doesnt stop there! Make sure you try the biscuts and dirty rice. It's all spicy and all great.
There is also a Popeyes on Jamacha and Main in El Cajon.
PROS: Great Chicken, Life can't get any better!

Popeye's offer delicious and juicy fried chicken and shrimp. This location is no exception. I have been happy with the consistency of their food product. This location also offers Drive-Thru service, which is an added convenience compared to the other strip mall locations that are dine-in only. It is in the Greenbriar Shopping Center, right off Route 50, and it is fairly easy to get in and out. I can always find a parking space on their own lot. And even if in the rare case when their parking lot is full, you can always find a shopping center parking space nearby. However, I have a couple of advices specifically about this location: They have large windows, which provide sort of nice views (although you are just looking at the traffic), but a serious down-side is that the dining room gets really bright and toasty in a sunny afternoon. Therefore, I advise that you avoid dining in during a hot sunny day. Otherwise, you will be sweating and cannot enjoy your meal. Secondly, try not to leave the parking lot using the access road off Route 50 if it is the traffic peak hours. It can get really difficult to turn onto Route 50 from the access road. In the traffic peak hours, I advise that you use the exit/entrance in the rear (away from Route 50). That will give you access to the traffic light, and you can turn onto Route 50 much easier.
PROS: Consistent food quality. Delicious food.
CONS: Toasty dining room on a hot sunny day.
