My wife and I, both 60+, went in to buy a camera. We knew nothing about cameras; only knew we wanted digital. A young guy with long hair and covered with tattoos and rings in places that I did not know could be pierced helped us. I had my doubts as to whether he could help us. After he found out what we wanted and quizzed us on our camera knowledge, we and he decided on a camera for us, but he would not let us have it until he had explained everything we would need to know about the camera.

I purchased a Sony digital camera from Wolf and a 2yr $120 Expanded Service Plan (ESP). The camera was sent out 2x's for repair for the same problem, 6 weeks each time. Now the 3rd time, same problem. It was sent out to be replaced per the ESP contract. After 6 weeks I never heard from the store. I had to call them. They had my camera and it was working again. It?s very clear the camera has a defect and they have agreed to this yet 9 weeks later, I?m still without a camera. My ESP contract with them expires in Aug and I feel this is what they are waiting for. I'm dealing with cust service which lacks at the store and corporate level. I have to personally deal with their repair department which all of sudden can only find 1 work order, both work repair orders were copied and sent in with the camera. Horrible customer service all around! The $120 replacement plan would replace it if it fell in water, yet the camera is defective and they won't follow through with their end of the contract. Their over-priced Expanded Service Plan CLEARLY states that ?With ESP You Need Never Worry About?and the first thing listed is Mechanical Malfunction?. You shouldn't have to pay for this in the first place. Shop ABT, they stand behind the products they sell. Wolf does not. MY ADVICE: AVOID SHOPPING HERE!!!
PROS: Good selection, knowledgeable staff
CONS: Poor customer service, don't follow through with their ESP contract

I used a coupon to have some film processed at Wolf. Their development of my photos was second to none. They explained that someone looks at each photo and adjusts whatever needs to be adjusted to make the photo perfect. And my pictures absolutely were PERFECT. I go to them for enlargements now, and highly recommend their processing though I've never purchased a camera there. They also have a selection of BEAUTIFUL frames.
PROS: Processing is superior.
CONS: A little pricey, but worth it.

I am a bargain lover, but decided to pay full price, and go to Wolf Camera because I wanted their expertise and education. Boy, what a mistake!
I was very clear about my very specific needs for this camera, and was upsold into spending more than I had budgeted for. I must say this camera NEVER performed adequately for the specific task I wanted it for. I also never received any of the education afterward that was promised, being told misinformation even about when their seminars were, and when new ones would be available.
I went in several times after the sale and was not treated helpfully. The final straw was that 13 months after the purchase (one month after the warranty expired) the camera completely quit working! It was still so new there was not a scratch or scuff on it, but it won't take pictures! Again, tough luck in the service department. ("Sorry, call the manufacturer, their number is probably available online").
If you don't care about service before or after the purchase, and you don't need help in determining which product you need, why pay hundreds more at Wolf? There's a Best Buy around the corner!

This place is a fountain of knowledge. They are amazing, no matter what crazy question I have, they have the answer. No matter what I need, they have it, or they get it! This is a one stop shop for all your phot needs.
