David Carr is another victim of franchise expansion, at the top of the 2002 draft, he was selected to be a franchise quarterback. However, he suffered a similar fate to Tim Couch. A weak O-Line and a less than stellar running game sealed his fate early on. Many feel that the Texans ineptitude during that time with their hiring and coaching put Carr in a situation where he had little protection on the field. This was evident when he was sacked nine times playing the Chargers in his second career start.
